01Who we are

Teachers Consultancy (teachersconsultancy.com) is a job portal only for teachers and schools in India. We decide how your details are used on the portal, so we are responsible for them.

02What we collect

• Account: your name, email address, mobile number (if you add it), password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) and preferred language.
• Teaching profile (teachers): qualifications such as B.Ed, D.El.Ed and CTET or state TET, subjects and skills, teaching experience, city, expected salary, notice period, demo lessons and the certificates or documents you upload.
• School details (schools): school name, board, city and state, registration or UDISE+ details and the documents you share for verification.
• Sign-in with Google (only if you use it): your name and email address from your Google account.
• Activity: your applications, school requests, notes to schools and notifications on the portal.
• Technical: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, a cookie that remembers your language, and basic logs (such as IP address and time) that keep the portal safe.

03How we use it

• To run your account and show you teaching jobs that fit your profile.
• To match teachers with vacancies and explain each match.
• To verify schools and certificates, and to have demo lessons reviewed by trained reviewers.
• To send you emails, SMS codes and notifications about your account, applications and requests.
• To keep the portal safe: to stop fake jobs, fraud and misuse.
• Only if you allow it: to let your AI job assistant suggest jobs and draft notes, and to follow how a job you joined goes so suggestions improve. You can switch these off in Settings.

04Who can see your details

• Verified schools see your skills, qualifications and proof, but not your name, phone number or email address.
• A school sees your full profile, with your name and contact details, only when you apply to its vacancy or accept its request.
• You decide whether verified schools can find your profile at all, in Settings.
• Our team, to verify documents, review demo lessons and help you.
• Service providers who host the portal and send emails and SMS for us, only to provide that service.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

05The AI job assistant

The assistant uses your teaching profile and the vacancy to explain a match and draft a note for you to read. It only suggests: it never applies, accepts or negotiates for you. You can switch it off in Settings.

06How long we keep it

We keep your details while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, schools stop seeing your profile right away, and our team then deletes the rest of your data, except records the law requires us to keep.

07Your rights

• See and download your data. Teachers can use Download my data in Settings; schools can write to us.
• Correct or update your details at any time from your profile.
• Withdraw your consent and delete your account. Teachers can use Delete my account and data in Settings; schools can write to us.
• Name a person who can use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
• Complain to us first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

These rights come from the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

08Keeping your data safe

We use secure connections, store passwords only in hashed form and let only the people who need it see your documents. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

09Age

Teachers Consultancy is for adults. Please do not create an account if you are under 18.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you about important changes on the portal or by email.
